Introduction
The Montgomery County Public Schools is in the midst of a multiyear reform initiative designed to raise the level of student achievement to rigorous standards of academic performance. Begun in 1999, the initiative incorporates long-standing plans and expectations for educational excellence in Montgomery County and provides new reforms designed to align the entire instructional program into a seamless process of teaching and learning from prekindergarten through high school.
