OVERVIEW
The staff Survey of School Environment provides information about how school-based staff members perceive their job satisfaction. One of the items asks respondents to agree or disagree that "The work environment promotes employee well-being, satisfaction, and positive morale."
School-based staff members at all three school levels (elementary school, middle school, and high school) who completed the Staff Survey of School Environment had average positive perceptions of job satisfaction above 80 percent. Since the first year of administration in the 2001-2002 school year, no significant change in this perception of satisfaction has occurred.
