The mission of the ESOL Parent Center is to provide high quality interpretation services and orientation to the Montgomery County Public Schools for newly enrolling international families to minimize cultural and linguistic barriers to build a foundation for students' academic success.
The ESOL Parent Center at Rocking Horse Road Center provides parents of new international arrivals with

Orientation to Montgomery County Public Schools and ESOL/Bilingual Programs;

Assistance in completing Montgomery County Public School forms including the enrollment form, emergency form, legal guardianship forms, tuition waiver applications, free and reduce lunch applications;

Information regarding community services that are available;
- Interpretation services for parent/teacher conferences and school meetings ; and
- Interpretation assistance at system-wide meetings and hearings .
The ESOL Parent Center staff coordinates the provision of interpreters for the Montgomery County Public Schools.
