Course Blueprints
Course blueprints are available for all of the foreign languages that are taught in its middle and high schools. These blueprints indentify what students will know and be able to do by the end of each unit of study. This knowledge and performance ability is categorized by the five goals of the Standards for Foreign Language Learning: communication, culture, connections, comparisons, and communities. The essential structures that students will learn in order to accomplish these outcomes are also included in the blueprints. The outcomes of the blueprints are the mandated curriculum of MCPS and form the basis upon which centrally-developed exams are created.
