Environmental Education Center
 hrough a cooperative effort between the Friends Of Maydale, M-NCPPC and Montgomery County Public Schools students from nearby schools are brought to Maydale Nature Center for an early childhood environmental education program. Maydale Nature Center is located off Briggs Chaney Road in Silver Spring, MD. The 29-acre park and nature center facility is ideally suited for the early childhood students who visit every year to apply skills that they have learned in class to an authentic setting/problem. The park land is adjacent to the upper left fork of Paint Branch and features a meadow, forest (Deciduos and Evergreen), pond, bamboo stand and a fish ladder that was constructed to allow fish to travel upstream. The site is also used by the community who conduct community action projects throughout the year.
