The Corps of Historical Discovery
2004-05
  • Develop your skills and knowledge in U.S. History and use of primary sources in the classroom.
  • Understand and study history as professional historians do.
  • Meet the Smithsonian curators for exhibit presentations and behindthe scenes presentations of the Smithsonian collection.
  • Develop a formative assessment product for possible publication by MCPS or the Smithsonian
  • Continue to meet with colleagues and develop a social studies skills and knowledge during the followign school year. Serve as a liason for your school.

Principals will receive notification early in 2004 and choose one 4th and 5th grade teacher from your school. Let your principal know if you are interested.
