Paying Extracurricular Activity (ECA) Fees Online
Parents can pay student ECA fees online by credit card using Montgomery County Public School's Financial Management System (FMS). The ECA fee, otherwise known as the activity fee, supports adult-supervised, extracurricular activities, such as sports and clubs, for middle and high school students. Students who pay the fee are entitled to participate in one or more programs during the year. Below is information about accessing the ECA payment page and paying ECA fees.
This is a secure website. To ensure that your information is transmitted securely, we support only Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
What information do I need to pay ECA fees?
- The student 6-digit ID number for each student whose activity fee you are paying
- Your credit card information, including the correct billing address
How do I access the ECA payment page?
Refer to the information above on registering and on what you need at hand to pay online, then click here to access the page for paying the activity fee.How do I pay ECA fees?
Please print these instructions before you proceed.
- Register, if this is the first time you are paying ECA fees online.
- On the right of the Extracurricular Activity Fees page, click the Register link.
- Fill in the requested information, including user name and password.
- Click the Submit button. Processing may take 30 seconds.
- Shop for the ECA fee.
- On the Extracurricular Activity Fees page, click the Add to Cart button.
- If you are paying ECA fees for more than one student, click the Continue Shopping button to add an item (row) for each student.
- Add student information for each student.
- Below the Your Shopping Cart title, click the Student Information link.
- Do the following for each student, one student at a time:
- In the Select column, click the check box.
- In the Item Information column, click the picture icon.
- Enter the student ID and first 4 characters of the student’s last name.
- Click the Apply button.
- In the blue bar at the top of the page, click the Shopping Cart link to return to the Your Shopping Cart page.
- Check out.
- Click either Checkout button.
- Provide additional information for your payment, clicking the Continue Checkout button to go to the next page.
- Review and place your order by clicking the Place Order button once. You may be charged twice for double clicking. Processing may take 30 seconds.
- Print your confirmation, which includes your order number.
- If you get an error message, follow the directions on the message or call the ECA office at 301-517-5000.
- Log out.
- Check your e-mail program for an e-mail receipt with “Workflow Mailer from PFMS” as the subject. The student’s name and ID number will be noted in the e-mail.
