Our mission is to accelerate students' mastery of academics, specifically reading, language arts, and mathematics, and to close the achievement gap. The Learning Academy is a tutoring and mentoring program that enhances the academic performance and achievement of students in grades 1 through 12. On Saturday mornings, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., certified teachers and volunteer tutors work with students on core subjects and teach successful learning/studying strategies.

GBTLA Is Still Registering Students
    Tutoring sessions run through May 2. Registration is ongoing, so students may register at any time throughout the year. Parents must come with their child to the Learning Academy Center that their child will attend. The child's most recent report card and a $20 registration fee are required.  2/13/09
Saturday School Sessions Expanded to Three Hours
    The Saturday School has expanded its sessions by one-half hour to provide students with additional tutoring and mentoring time. Saturday sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. and
