Written Productivity Profile
A Written Productivity Profile (WPP) helps you define student needs in the area of writing. It consists of three parts:
Handwriting / Keyboarding Comparison
This information helps us make informed decisions about how quickly proposed assistive technology solutions are likely to be beneficial and the best way to get started.
- Directions for completing the handwriting/typing comparison portion
- Optional form to use to have the student do the handwriting portion
- Optional form to use to record your results
Spelling Analysis
This will help us determine which types of AT are likely to be useful.
Writing Analysis
Use a writing sample that reflects the student’s writing ability when not being given much intervention. Analyze it according to the writing rubric for your district and grade level. That rubric should examine explicit writing skills such as the 6+1 Trait ® Writing framework.
