EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meets regularly with Director and key staff in the Division of School Plant Operations (DSPO) to plan and coordinate activities of the office. Assists the director in the preparation of detailed periodic project analysis, budget requests, and summaries for senior management. Assists the director in managing all functions of the department, including gathering, researching and preparing data for presentations to the chief operating officer, Office of School Performance, principals, and other school staff as required.Assists the director in ensuring that staff understands the MCPS vision, objectives, and strategies and applies them to current and future projects.Participates in planning, justifying and implementing the Operating Budget.Supervise and give direction to staff for day-to-day DSPO functions.Assist the DSPO Team Leaders with organization of team plans as well as tracking their progress to implement the Strategic Plan and analysis of Performance Measures.Updates performance measures for DSPO to be included in the Office of Chief Operating Officer (OCOO) report. Interacts with vendors, school staff, communities, and other MCPS staff to resolve issues and complete tasks.Supervises selected DSPO administrative staff. Serves on committees as designated by the Director of DSPO.Attends meetings as assigned by the Director of DSPO.Provides leadership in review and approval of new or revised systems and procedures related to DSPO.Performs related work as required.
