WORKING TITLE: HR Data Management Assessment Specialist GRADE: 19 MONTHS: 12
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF CLASSIFICATION: Under general supervision of the Director of Performance Evaluation and Compliance is responsible for all activities connected with the MCPS Professional Growth System (PGS) regarding employee evaluation cycles; responsible for monitoring and tracking pre-employment staffing activities for professional school positions from initial interview and through to potential hire. Compiles MCPS staff data as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Skill at proofreading numbers and interpreting tables of figures. strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, working knowledge of standard database technologies management and their use in workforce reporting; must be able to learn and apply new software processes as they become available. Strong consultation skills necessary to work effectively with others designing, evaluating and executing workforce data reports required. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of and the ability to meet the seven core competencies of the Supporting Services Professional Growth System (SSPGS).
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree required. College major in information management systems; business administration, HR resource administration, or related fields preferred. Advanced knowledge of MS/Office products, FILEMAKER PRO, ORACLE DISCOVERER, and Lawson HRIS required. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (Special requirements such as lifting heavy objects and frequent climbing.) Must operate PC workstations for sustained periods of time

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintains, tracks and coordinates the assessment/evaluation records for MCAASP, MCBOA, MCEA and SEIU employees
2. Coordinates PAR reports and maintains spreadsheet for all underperforming evaluations.
3. Oversees HRIS evaluation database, reports discrepancies, and notifies principals, supervisors and other evaluator¿s status of employee assessments.
4. Advises and guides evaluators on the assessment and evaluation procedures.
5. Coordinate evaluation information with MCEA, SEIU, and MCAASP Par Panels.
6. Consults with staff to clearly define the type of data needed and parameters required to obtain and report accurate employee information
7. Monitors and tracks certificated applicant data.
8. Maintains documentation on reporting processes, and data/information requests.
9. Prepares employee reports using Oracle Discoverer, Excel, Access, ATS, HRO, HRIS and other appropriate applications as requested.
10. Assists and trains OHR personnel in producing employee data available through the HRIS, ATS, HRO and Fortis, etc.
11. Attends meetings representing the OHR in matters related to employee reporting.
12. Perform related duties as assigned.
