| This position typically
reports to a deputy or associate superintendent and
has demonstrated knowledge skills, and abilities consistent
with developing
and
implementing the vision and the mission of the department,
providing departmental leadership. Develops and implements
departmental level strategic plans aligned with the
deputy or associate superintendent and school system's
strategic plans and ensures effective management of
the department. Creates and maintains a culture of
professional growth and high expectations. Director
IIs develop and support budgets to execute strategic
plans and participate in their defense and serve as
primary account managers to control significant financial
resources. Director IIs implement the professional
growht systems and model the the leadership standards
at the departmental levels, coordinate departmental
employment issues and the work of subordinates, and
adjudicate conflicts and other issues not resolved
at the division level. Search out and implement strategies
that promote collaboration with stakeholders and the
continuous improvement of products, processes, and
services. Act for a deputy or associate superintendent
when requested to do so and interact with comunity
groups, governmental agencies at federal, state, or
local levels, and with institutions of higher education
to represent the interests of the Montgomery County
Public Schools. |
