| This position typically
reports to a director II and has demonstrated knowledge
skills, and abilities consistent with developing and
implementing the vision and the mission of the divison
and creates and maintains a culture of professional
growth and high expectations; performs division-level
leadership duties and models the A&S Professional
Growth System leadership standards; makes employment
recommendations; implements the professional growth
system at the division level that may include evaluations
of other administrative employees; participates in
budget preparation; assigns duties and schedules the
work for others; develops division-level strategic
plans that align with the appropriate department and
school system strategic plans; and promotes collaboration
with stakeholders, the continuous improvement of products,
services, and processes, and ensures the effective
and efficient management of the division. Supervisor
duties typically involve multiple job functins across
disciplines. They may act for a director II, interact
with the superintendent and the Board of Education
on behalf of the office or department, and meet
with governmental, community, or higher education
representatives to represent the interests of MCPS. |
