Responsible, under direction,
for evaluating the implementation of all Montgomery
County Public Schools (MCPS) policies and regulations.
Develops a process for the systematic review and analysis
of the implementation and impact of Board policies.
This process includes collaborating with responsible
offices to evaluate policy implementation, analyzing
data and preparing and reporting findings to the Board
and relevant Board committees. Monitors external regulator
compliance matters and initiatives that may require
creation or modification of policies and regulations. |
The ability to qualitatively and
quantitatively analyze and evaluate operational practices
in relation to governing policies. Knowledge of MCPS
administration and operation and the policies and
regulations of MCPS. Excellent organizational ability.
Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
and meet frequent deadlines. Excellent oral and written
communication and interpersonal skills. |
Master's degree from an accredited
college or university with course work in business
or public administration, educational management,
quality control systems, or closely related subject
areas. Experience with policy analysis.

which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills
necessary to perform effectively in the position may
be considered.

Analyze policies and ooperations to determine
effect and impact of Board Policies on MCPS operations. Write detailed reports of findings for presentation
to the Board of Education and relevant committees.
Develop
and maintain a project tracking system for evaluating
MCPS practices for alignment with related policies
and regulations.
Develop and maintain a project tracking system to determine
the need for revision of existing policies and regulations.
Monitor state and federal laws and MSDE regulations
for impact on MCPS policies and regulations.
Performs related work as required.
