The next meeting with high school registrars will take place on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in the Board Room (room 114), at CESC, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, MD 20850, from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. There will be a demonstration of the new process for ordering diplomas, certificates of merit, and certificates for students expected to graduate in June 2010.
The official Montgomery County Public Schools enrollment for September 30, 2009, is 141,777 students. This number is 1,293 students above the projected enrollment of 140,484, and 2,501 greater than last year’s enrollment.
This memorandum provides data about Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) students who have successfully completed Algebra 1 or higher level mathematics courses (hereafter referred to as “Algebra 1 or higher”) in Grades 8 and 9 since 2006.

About Reporting
The reporting unit publishes Schools at a Glance, Special Education at a Glance, and School Safety and Security at a Glance on an annual basis. Reporting is also responsible for submitting required data collections to the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), as well as the United States Department of Education (USDE). The unit provides support to school recordkeepers and responds to data requests from school and office staff, as well as from outside the system. Reporting also monitors data entered into the student system to ensure accuracy.
