Description:

This report explores the short- and long-term impacts of Reading Recovery on students who successfully complete the program as measured by local and state assessments. The findings indicate that students who participated in Reading Recovery accelerated their reading to and beyond the grade-level benchmark by the end of Grade 1. Recommendations:

Recommendations to improve the literacy skills of students not meeting the reading benchmarks in Grades 2 are included.
