Doctors Recognize MCPS for Healthy School Meals
Kathleen Lazor, director of Food and Nutrition Services, was awarded the national 2009 Golden Carrot award for providing healthy, low-fat, and vegetarian food to students in MCPS. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a national non-profit organization that promotes healthy diets, sponsors the award.
