Superintendent Joshua P. Starr will hold his third Book Club event on Tuesday, April 24. The book Dr. Starr has selected for discussion is Tony Wagner’s The Global Achievement Gap: Why Even Our Best Schools Don’t Teach the New Survival Skills Our Children Need—and What We Can Do About It.
Parents, students, staff and members of the community are invited to join Dr. Starr in the studio audience. A spot in the audience can be reserved by emailing pio@mcpsmd.org.
Dr. Starr, along with guest panelists, will lead a discussion on the book and answer questions from those in the audience and those viewing the event at home. The Book Club will be webcast live at www.mcpsbookclub.org and broadcast on MCPS TV (Comcast channel 34). Viewers can submit questions by email (ask@mcpsbookclub.org) and Twitter.
