Student Showcase
Throughout the school year, Bannockburn elementary school students participate in events, activities and projects. This showcase reflects the broad range of instruction and experiences that BES students enjoy during the course of the school year.
2004-2005 | Agnes Meyer School Visit
On November 19, 2004 a group of Bannockburn students along with Mrs. Whiting, Mrs. Hardy, and Mrs. Miller, a Bannockburn parent, went to the Agnes Meyer School in Washington, D.C. to participate in their Values First Conference.
Half of the Bannockburn students heard an international storytelling program while the other half met and talked with Meyer students in the same grade. All students joined together with the entire Meyer student body for a clown assembly. The assembly had two themes, respect for other people and the importance of education, the key to success for anything a person might want to do.
Agnes Meyer is Bannockburn's sister school. Students from Meyer School visited Bannockburn last spring for our Brown vs. Board of Education assembly. Our third grade will participate in a pen pal program with Meyer this year.
