I.B. ART AND DESIGN2007-2008 |

Through the projects we will be doing in I.B. Art, you will be preparing to accomplish the objectives set forth by the International Baccalaureate Organization. The Principles of Design and the Elements of Art, along with a variety of techniques and materials will be incorporated so that you are well equipped to complete the requirements. Through research, and journalizing, you will demonstrate visually and in writing, an understanding of topics and concepts of art. You will demonstrate knowledge of the cultural, historical and social aspects of art. This is a rigorous program, and you will have to stay on top of things to succeed. You will have to keep up on assignments and journal entries or you will get behind and set yourself up for failure. If you commit yourself to your work, you will enjoy your work and be the richer for it. OBJECTIVES: To develop studio techniques and to pursue individual art research with emphasis placed on the development of a personal body of work within a variety of media.
