Poster Design Scholarship Competition
The contest is open to graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in design. More than $200,000 in scholarships will be awarded for studying design at one of 30 Art Institutes throughout North America. Students must submit an original poster design that expresses the slogan, "Life is Better with Art in It", together with a current high school transcript, and a statement describing their design process and why they want to attend an Art Institute school. $3,000 Visual Arts Award Offered to Outstanding High School Senior
The Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County is offering a $3,000 award, established by the family of Ida F. Haimovicz, to support a Montgomery County high school senior intent on pursuing a visual arts career. Applicants must reside in Montgomery County. The application requires the submission of slides and written material that demonstrate the excellence of the artistic work and the commitment of the student to a career in the visual arts. The deadline for applications for the Haimovicz Award to be received has been extended to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2004.
