National Portfolio Days,
sponsored by the National
Portfolio Day Association, help further the artistic
development of young artists by bringing together experienced
college representatives to review artwork and offer critique.
More than forty nationally accredited art
institutions of higher education are represented at these
portfolio review and information days. High school and college
students, their families and art teachers are encouraged
to attend National Portfolio Days.
National Portfolio Days are also about the
exchange of information:
information about your work, yourself and your college plans.
They are not an examination or competition. Your portfolio
should include the best work that you have; but it may also
include work in progress, sketchbooks and tear sheets.
For specific art school portfolio requirements,
contact the particular college directly.
Check the National
Portfolio Day Association website for places and dates
of current year's National Portfolio Days.
