Weekly ScheduleMONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY Text Box: On these three days, we will work on learning and strengthening a variety of skills that can be used in the Resource class, in other classes, and in other settings. We will cover topics such as: Organization Time Management Memorization Techniques Test-taking skills Listening Skills Notetaking Skills Reading Skills Each class period will be devoted to learning particular strategies, working in groups, class discussions and practice of the strategies as they are introduced. Text Box: THURSDAYText Box: On Thursdays, students will have the opportunity to get assistance with work or projects from their other classes. Students may also use this time to go the Media Center to use the computers or to do research. On these assisted-study days, students can seek help from the Resource teacher or another teacher who may be available at that time. FRIDAYText Box: Fridays will be devoted to developing a portfolio that students can take with them at the end of the school year. The portfolio will include a collection of meaningful activities based on the individual needs of the student. Portfolios may include interest inventories, learning styles surveys, college applications, goal setting worksheets, researching post secondary schools, etc. Text Box: **** Journal writing will be done on a daily basis.
