Bio:
Ms. Charles taught English for five years at Needham High School in a suburb of Boston before coming to B-CC in fall 2005. Ms. Charles says she chose to work at B-CC because the staff is bright and supportive, the facility is beautiful, and the students are diverse and motivated.
A native of Oak Beach, New York (which is on the Jones Beach Island on Long Island), Ms. Charles graduated with a BA from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois. She went on to receive an MAT from Simmons College in Boston.
Ms. Charles has two daughters who are attending Montgomery County public schools. She and her family like to go to plays and are excited about exploring the theatre offerings here.
