Bio:
Originally from Connecticut and a graduate of Bucknell University,
Ms. Gold decided to relocate to Bethesda, Maryland because
of its charm, wonderful offerings, and ideal location. While
at Bucknell, Ms. Gold majored in English and minored in
Education. She spent a semester abroad studying at the Advanced
Studies in England program in Bath, England. During her
semester oversees, Ms. Gold took classes at Oxford University
and traveled to Prague, Venice, Florence, Rome, Vienna,
and Spain. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in
Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University.
With a passion for literature, writing, and people, teaching
was the most fitting profession. She believes there is no
other profession that is quite as rewarding and engaging
as teaching. Ms. Gold considers it both a privilege and
a pleasure to study literature and writing with her students
at B-CC.
Being invited into the thriving and exciting community
at B-CC has been a thrilling experience. Ms. Gold teaches
in the IB Middle Years Program and looks forward to the
many new discoveries both herself, and her students will
experience in the classroom.
The one book Ms.Gold could not live without is Zora Neale
Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God. She
finds Hurston’s lyrical writing simply too soothing
and expressive to put down. On her spare time, she loves
to travel to far away places, run, bike, write, and spend
time with her incredible family and friends.
