Bio:
I grew up in New Jersey and initially learned Spanish as
a high school exchange student in Santiago, Chile. I studied
Spanish and Linguistics at Georgetown University (Hoya Saxa!)
and have an M.A. in Spanish from the University of Florida
(Go Gators!). After graduate school, I was sidetracked for
a few years in television audience measurement and then
in broadcasting, but eventually realized what my true love
was, returned to graduate school at Maryland (Go Terps!)
for a Masters' Degree in Secondary Education. I've taught
in Montgomery County since 1993, and have been at B-CC (Go
Barons!) since 1998, first as a Spanish teacher and now
as the IB diploma coordinator.
Outside of school, you can find me skiing, swimming, reading,
cooking and traveling.
I'm married to Sid, who is a survey research consultant,
and have one son, Michael, currently in high school. We
live in Bethesda.
