Bio:
After finishing college, new Spanish 2 and 3 teacher AnneMarie
Hamant served as an Americorps volunteer in Los Angeles
for one year, working as a community development coordinator
for a mostly Spanishspeaking community. In this capacity,
she organized a community garden and murals, among other
duties. Additionally, she taught Spanish to middle and high
school students in Rochester, where she grew up, and at
American University, where she earned her M.A. in Spanish
and Latin American studies. She received her B.S. in Secondary
Education and Spanish from the University of Dayton.
Travel, international cuisine, and photography keep Ms.
Hamant busy when she isn't teaching. Mostly, she is delighted
to be part of the teaching staff at B-CC, which she already
knew from its fine reputation. "I am honored to become
a part of the faculty here."
