Nick Hemans

Bio:
Mr. Nick Hemans, originally from Auburn, NY, has joined B-CC as a Technology Education teacher. He is teaching Pre-Engineering, Foundations of Technology, and Software Applications. This fits with his longstanding attraction to building things, and wanting to take things apart to understand how they work.

Mr. Hemans attended The State University of New York at Oswego, earning a bachelor's degree in Technology Education. Before coming to B-CC, he worked for 3 ½ years at Hylton High School in Woodbridge, VA. At Hylton he taught Technical Drawing/CAD, Architectural Drawing, and TV Production.

The decision to move to B-CC was easy - he was attracted to our school's impeccable reputation! Also, Mr. Hemans lives in Glover Park, DC, so the shorter commute gives him time to enjoy his avocations - working out, running, and golfing. When he's back home in Auburn he also pursues wake boarding. During the summer he spends time at Long Beach Island in NJ enjoying water sports.
