A native Washingtonian and graduate of Valparaiso University, Ms. James has been a composition assistant at B-CC High School for the past ten years. She considers it both a privilege and pleasure to work with students on the writing process and to read their writing. Prior to coming to B-CC, she taught physical education, coached gymnastics, and worked as an extended day kindergarten teacher. She has also been a private tutor and a home and hospital teacher. Favorite writers - humorists Gene Weingarten and Dave Barry whom
she reads religiously every Sunday in The Washington Post Magazine
to keep her from taking life too seriously.
