Bio:
While living in New York City, Kathleen Kennedy worked at
StudentAdvantage.com, writing about college issues and also
mentoring college students on their writing. She was inspired
to pursue a master's in education from the Harvard Graduate
School of Education, focusing on teaching English at the
high school level. After teaching at Medford High School
in Winchester, Massachusetts, Ms. Kennedy found her way
to B-CC, where she feels "all is going well." "The kids
are so nice and there is good collaboration among staff,"
she added.
Ms. Kennedy was born in Matheun, Massachusetts, and attended
Cornell University. She was the editor of both her high
school and college newspaper. Ms. Kennedy lived for a while
in London, where she worked in public relations. Graham
Greene is her favorite author because he "captures the grey
area of humanity and asks the big questions." Ms. Kennedy
also loves to travel - everywhere. At B-CC, she teaches
IB English grade 11 and English honors grade 12. She also
is the sponsor of the newly formed Spirituality Club.
