Suzanne King is
currently on part-time status with the school and teaches
Advanced Placement Statistics and Precalculus with Analysis.
She has also taught International Baccalaureate Math Studies,
Geometry and Algebra in years past.
She attended Georgetown University, graduated with a B.S.
in Business Administration in 1984 and worked in New York
in the banking industry (Chase and Banker's Trust) from
graduation until 1988. She then worked for a small firm
based in Los Angeles that used technology to calculate mathematical
characteristics of bond portfolios.
Mrs. King married in 1991 and proceeded to have 3 children
in 3 years. Her mother-in-law inspired her to consider teaching
as a second career, and she attended American University
in the evenings (part-time) to earn her masters in teaching.
She is certified to teach math for grades 7-12.
Mrs. King lives in Bethesda. Her 3 kids keep her pretty
busy when she is not teaching. She is a classical pianist
and enjoys all kinds of music. She informally sponsors the
B-CC
Investment Club.
Her husband has his own portfolio management business.
Some kids know her well by the sight of her blue Mustang
convertible!
