Mike McGarry

Coordinator for the  Academy of Technology, Math, and Science Email Courses taught: Anatomy and Physiology Human Body

Bio:

Mr. McGarry has been teaching at B-CC for twelve years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA. He received his MAT from the Johns Hopkins University. Mr. McGarry is a member of the National Science Teacher's Association. He also participated in the HHMI/NIH/MCPS teacher internship program and spent two summers at the National Institutes of Mental Health. Before going into teaching, he worked as a Laboratory research assistant at the Johns Hopkins Medical School where he worked with mitochondrial topoisomerases in Trypanosomes, as well as working with Leishmania and Malaria.
For the past three summers, Mr. McGarry worked for the Office of Global Access Technology as part of the Technology Modernization Project as the Quality Control Team Leader. He is now the coordinator for the Academy of Technology, Mathematics and Science at B-CC and a National Board Certification Candidate.
