Launched at the beginning of the 2004-2005 school year,
the Academy of Technology, Mathematics and Science (ATMS)
is a rigorous program for students that emphasizes research
and career development. As coordinator of the program, Sharif
Robinson provides assistance to students as they choose
their classes and focus area. Mr. Robinson also plans, coordinates
and implements internships, a mentoring program, a research
class, and science and technology fairs and competitions.
In addition, he teaches Discovering Programming and Computer
Programming 1, 2 and 3.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Mr. Robinson attended Hampton
University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Management Information Systems. Before joining the B-CC
staff, he worked at the Military Sealift Command, and in
his free time, enjoys skiing, fishing and playing basketball.
