Paul Soboslay joined
the staff at B-CC in August of 2001 after teaching two years
at Deer Park Middle Magnet School in Baltimore County. Mr.
Soboslay was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
where he received his undergraduate degree in Communications
from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989 and his masters
in education from Duquesne University in 2001. Prior to
teaching, he worked for the Hertz Corporation and Advantage
Health in numerous management capacities.
At B-CC, Mr. Soboslay is currently the faculty advisor
for the Student
Government Association (SGA). Mr. Soboslay has also
interacted with students as the JV
Softball Coach (2002-2004) and the National
Honor Society advisor during the 2001-2002 school year.
In July of 2002 and 2003, Mr. Soboslay also assisted students
by teaching a 3 week class similar to the current College
Connections program that helped rising juniors and seniors
to prepare for the college application process and explore
future possible avenues in their education and careers.
Mr. Soboslay and his wife moved to Montgomery County in
1999 and have a beautiful daughter Caitlin, and a rambunctious
dog Henry. During his free time, Mr. Soboslay enjoys golfing,
playing baseball, traveling, working on home improvement
projects and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh sports teams.
