Angela White comes to B-CC’s art department from Gaithersburg High School where she both chaired and taught in the art department for five years. Prior to high school teaching, she spent five years at Farquhar Middle School, and another six years in the Forest Knolls Elementary School ‘arts magnet’ program.
She holds a BA in Studio Art (with a major in Painting and a minor in Art History), and both a BA and MA in Art Education. Ms. White’s MA thesis consisted of an exhibit of 30 of her own paintings.
Ms. White maintains an art studio in Washington, DC. She has had exhibits in various places since 1989, and is presently represented by the Wohlfarth Galleries.
Ms White expresses her delight in joining the BCC community with its “great art department…supportive faculty, and talented students.”
For those who are interested, Ms. White’s work can be viewed on www.angelawhiteart.com.

Ms. White will be exhibiting her new work in an art show, The Curves of Natural Radiance (in pdf), opening on Friday, November 18, 2005, 6:00-8:00p.m. at the Washington Works on Paper, 3420 9th St. NE. Washington D.C (directions) (in pdf). This is an all (nude) figurative show, very different work from her former abstract work. Parents will need to make their own decision on whether they want to take young family members to the show.
(Note: To view the pdf documents, it may be necessary to download a free updated version of the Acrobat Reader.)
