Bio:
Mr. Young is originally from Cheltenham, PA. At Cheltenham
High School he was active in orchestra, chamber orchestra,
pit orchestra, honors choir, cross country, indoor/outdoor
track, diving, and baseball. While studying for his undergraduate
degree at American University he ran Division I cross country
and track. After graduation, he was a substitute teacher
at B-CC and worked at RnJ sports – a local running store
-- in keeping with his interest in athletics. Currently,
Mr. Young is studying for his Master of Arts degree in Teaching
at Johns Hopkins University.
In addition to teaching and attending grad school, Mr. Young
is B-CC’s Assistant Cross Country coach and Indoor Track
coach. He is also a member of the B-CC wellness committee
and is working on some violin and basketball related activities.
He continues to play violin for the American University
Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Young says he finds the Math department “amazing and
extremely supportive. They make my job very easy for me.”
