Name: Chinese Culture Club
Student Sponsor/ Creator: Amalia Halikias
 Club Sponsor: Pu-Mei Leng

The Chinese Culture Club's purpose is to raise awareness and appreciation of culture in the B-CC community. We plan to:
-watch Chinese movies to get a better grasp of Chinese history and understand how it affects Chinese culture today 
-sample different chinese foods and learn about different regional styles of cuisine 
-invite speakers who have come from China to come and speak to us about their experiences and share some interesting stories 
-discuss political, economic, and environmental issues in China today, and how they affect the US -discuss ancient chinese myths and stories 
-learn about the Peking Opera

Our goals this year include trying to organize a Chinese New Year Celebration here at B-CC, and to raise money by selling Chinese food in order to hire speakers or even to take the club on short trips!

Meetings: We will meet about twice a month during lunch, and once a month after school for our activities. Times and dates will be decided at least one week beforehand, and emails will be sent out informing all members
