2006-2007
Club Function:
The Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School’s club ice hockey
team began its first season in 1995-1996 as a coalition
of high schools composed of players from B-CC, Walter Johnson,
Walt Whitman, Wilson, Lake Braddock, Blair, and Einstein.
It has since grown to a team of 24 players to date, all
from the B-CC High School community. The team plays in the
Maryland Scholastic Hockey League (the MSHL). It counts
among its past players, Stephen Werner, a Washington Capitals’
draft pick. Werner led the U. S. National Junior Team to
victory in the 2004 World Junior Championship games.
The B-CC Barons had a very successful 2003-2004 season.
They were undefeated in regular season play with 10 wins
and no losses and clinched the Division title. Entering
another year with Coach J. T. Burton should prove to be
very exciting. So join us as often as you can and cheer
the Barons on to victory! Look for our banner hanging at
our home ice at The Gardens Ice House in Laurel on the Patrick
ice sheet.

The club practices Wednesdays from 3:30 - 4:50pm at The
