Junior State of America

2006-2007

Club Function:
Like to talk about politics? Like to debate issues? Want to meet politicians and attend conventions? JSA is for you! Even if you know next-to-nothing about politics, it's still a blast to have heated debates about current, highly relevant issues.

The Junior State of America at B-CC is a non-partisan political organization. We hold debates and discussions within the club, we host voter registration activities, we go on field trips, and we participate in debates against other clubs. Our goal is to educate ourselves and our community of the current political controversies facing our nation and the rest of the world.

Our topics of discussion range from the mildly contentious to the extremely controversial. The differing viewpoints and ideals in the club allow for lively and very passionate discussions.

We are always open for new suggestions. This is the club where your voice counts. From the ridiculous to the most profound, we have heard it all. So, come out and join us in Room A218 (Ms. Liz's room) on Mondays during lunch. Everyone is welcome.

FIRST MEETING : 9/25/06 at lunch. BE THERE!!

Remember : DEMOCRACY IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT. GET INVOLVED!

Meeting time and place:
Mondays, during lunch, in A218.
