9th Grade Student Orientation @ B-CC:
Thursday, August 27, 2009. 7:25 am-11:30 am. Busses will run their routes this day.
9th Gr. Parent Orientation will be in the evening at 7pm.

| WELCOME TO B-CC, New Families 2009-2010: The International Connections and Welcome Committees would like
to invite you and your student(s) to our PTSA sponsored "New Family Welcome
Event" on Sunday August 23rd, 2:30pm to 4:30pm at Lynnbrook Park (8008
Newdale Drive, Bethesda, MD 20814) . As well as being a wonderful
opportunity for your student to meet new friends, we have also invited a
number of key school administrators and PTSA members for you to chat with.
We will be serving cold beverages and a slice of welcome cake, so we very
much hope that you will be able to attend. As Lynnbrook Park has a rec
center, this will be a rain or shine event. So that we may provide the
right amount of refreshments, please RSVP to Caren Danies:

Transportation is not provided, although public transportation may be

TAP (Time for Academic Progress)

Tuesdays,Wednesdays, Thursdays, 2:15-3:15 @ B-CC (Sarah Straus)
The room locations are:
Math: C211
English: A311
Science: B318
Social Studies: A411
Mondays & Thursdays 6:00-8:00 @ the Coffield Center (Sean Tracy)
For those new to B-CC, TAP provides students with a structured place to
work. In each room, B-CC teachers are available to help
students with their homework, studying, projects, papers, etc.
If you ever have any questions regarding your child's TAP attendance,

COLLEGE TRACKS
|
CollegeTracks is a program for juniors and seniors who need help with
college access "know-how" and support to navigate the college admissions and
financial aid process.
College Tracks is held in the College/Career Center every Monday - Thursday during lunch, after school Tuesday afternoons, from 2:15 to 4:00 pm and at the Coffield Center on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 -
10:00 pm (Liz Applebaum).
