After Prom
-Help Chairs plan and carry out a successful substance-free after prom night.
Banter
-Collect information and write about academic, music, drama, athletic interests, and other extra-curricular and school related activities. Help with monthly mailings.
Book Sale
-Help with the popular B-CC Used Book Sale: Sort, organize and work on Sale Day: You get first pick from over 25,000 books!
Chaperones – Dances
-Chaperone dances; help with coat check and concessions.
Career Center/College Tracks
-Work with students and career information.
Giant Gift Cards
- Help sell and distribute Giant Gift Cards and register families for Bonus Bucks and E-scrip. This program raises over $13,000 a year for the PTSA.
Global Citizens Committee/International Night
- Define and celebrate our international community and the increasing importance of being good global citizens. Help plan, organize, and set up International Night
Homecoming
-Help with the festivities and events on Homecoming Weekend, including the Parade, Football game, and Dance.
Human Relations Committee
-Meet with parents/teachers/staff to discuss climate of issues at school.
Mentors/Business Partners Wanted
-Connect the community with the students by providing tutors or mentors, participating in job shadowing or internships, or offering special expertise or support for any of our various programs.
Office Assistance
-Help with clerical duties and phones in Counseling, Attendance, and Main Offices on a regular basis (once a week, once a month, etc.). Meet the staff and students while helping out! New parents welcome!
Science Committee
-Work with Science Department in Labs and with Science Fair.
School Store
-Open store during lunch for student purchases; all proceeds benefit Sports Boosters. Lots of fun in 50 minutes!
Staff Appreciation Committee
-Assist at Staff Appreciation events to show our great appreciation for B-CC staff during holidays and the school year. Great opportunity for our parent bakers.
Student Recognition Committee
-Recognize students for academic achievement, attendance, and good citizen skills; PTSA provides lunches, prizes, certificates for students who are being recognized.
Web-site Assistance
-Be a liaison to an academic department or to Sports Boosters and help keep the website current.
Part-time/Occasional Help
-If your schedule is too hectic to volunteer on a regular basis but you still want to help, we always have one-time projects that can be done at odd hours, weekends or evenings.
