Family/School Connections Please visit the following websites to help you support your child's education: The Child Assault Prevention Project-The Metropolitan Center for Assault Prevention (MCAP) presented, the Child Assault Prevention (CAP) Project, a program on children's personal safety. Learn more about the important concepts and skills presented during this program. Homework Hotline -offers one-on-one homework help to students who call the hotline number at 301-279-3234 (Voice/TTY). The program, which can be viewed on cable channel 7/33, is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the school year. US Department of Education -Publications and Products division- publishes a wealth of information for teachers, administrators, policymakers, researchers, parents, students, and others with a stake in education. The Family Works-the U.S. Department of Education Goals 2000 Parent Information and Resource Center of Maryland offers a variety of links to help families support their children's education. Safety Tips for Kids on the Internet-offers safety tips that all students should know before they visit websites. Parent's Guide to the Information Superhighway- a resource for parents to guide their children while online. 50 great sites selected by the American Library Association, along with tips for parents on guiding their children's explorations. Building the Home School Partnership-The resource notebook was collaboratively developed by Montgomery County Council of Parent Teacher Associations (MCCPTA) and Montgomery County Public Schools(MCPS) during 1998.
