Students at Blair G. Ewing Center work to reduce hunger
Congratulations to the students of the Blair G Ewing Center for their successful participation in the Kids Helping Kids Food Drive sponsored by the Maryland Food Bank, and the Harvest for the Hungry organization in a partnership with the Department of Education. The 108-member student body collected 171 items for distribution to area food banks. According to Principal Damien Ingram, “This was a valuable opportunity for Blair G. Ewing students to support our local community.”

Students competed with their peers to see which homeroom could collect the most items.  This competition resulted in positive results for all involved.  Teacher of the winning homeroom, Joanna Solow said,“I’m honored to have participated in the food drive and proud of my students for their role in helping others in need.”
