Stock Market Game Culminating Activity
So, what have we learned from this stock market
activity? How quickly we can lose
thousands of dollars? What else?
You and your team will put together a PowerPoint
presentation showing the rest of the class what you did and what you learned
from it. You will bring it to me on a
disk or email it to Mary_D_Wagner@mcpsmd.org.
In your PowerPoint presentation, you must include the
answers to the following questions (not necessarily in this order):
- What
is buying long? When would you want
to do this?
- What
is selling short? When would you
want to do this?
- What
did you do throughout the two months of the game? Use details about specific stocks – what
did you buy and what happened to it?
Then what did you do next?
- Why
did you make each of the decisions you made? Again, use details about specific
stocks: Why did you buy each
stock? Was it a good idea? Why or why not?
- What
did you learn from this experience, overall?
- If you
could play again next year, what would you do the same and why? What would you do differently and
why?
Your PowerPoint presentation should be:
- Colorful
- Easy
to read (not too many words on each slide)
- Created
by all the members of your team
- Presented
in 5-10 minutes (this means you should practice it before you do it in
front of the class to make sure it is not too short or too long)
Your PowerPoint presentation MAY include the following (but
your grade will not be lowered if they are not present):
- Humor
- Cute/funny
graphics (use clip art or Google’s image search)
Your presentations are due to me on Wednesday, April 26 and
will be presented to the class on Friday, April 28.
