General Information

About the Media Center
The Briggs Chaney media center has an extensive collection
of print and non-print resources that support information
and research needs. The media center has more than 13,000
items including books, periodicals, music, newspapers, videotapes,
videodiscs, and art prints. Students may access the Briggs Chaney
Patron's Catalog, a variety of online databases, and the Internet
from the networked computers in the media center.
The media center staff and resources
help students to become information literate and to learn how
to choose, evaluate, and use the best resources for their research
questions. Media center staff is available to assist students before
school, during lunch, and after school.

Borrowing
Materials
Students may borrow up to 3 books and magazines at a time. They may renew them once.
Books and magazines....................................
2 weeks
Reference and Reserve books......................... Overnight
If a student
has overdue materials, no further checkouts will be allowed
until items are returned or paid for.
If the material is found, a refund will be issued.

Printing
Students must ask permission to print from the computer.
Students must ask an adult to get printed materials from the printer.
