About Brookhaven

Our Mission  We, the students, staff and parents of Brookhaven Elementary school, are here for a common goal: to teach each other that a love of learning, combined with hard work, leads to success in school and in life.

Our Vision Brookhaven Elementary School will be a community of learners where:

bullet Students achieve at a high level
bullet All members exhibit mutual respect
bullet Everyone feels safe and nurtured
bullet Students, staff and families practice effective communication
bullet We celebrate the growth and diversity that unites us
bullet Family and community are welcomed as active participants
bullet Talented and progressive staff ensure a continuing focus on academic achievement

Our Building was originally constructed in 1961 and modernized in 1995. It is part of the Wheaton Cluster and is located in the Aspen Hill neighborhood of Rockville. Brookhaven serves a student body of 400 or so Pre-K through Grade 5 regular and Special Education students. This year Brookhaven has three sections of full-day kindergarten and one half-day regular preschool class in addition to our PEP Classic and new PEP Intensive Needs Classes. Rockville Day Care Association currently provides before and after school care for K-5 students.
