Achievements and facts

Fred Shepherd coached football at Churchill for 27 years. During that time his record was 208 wins, 80 losses and 1 tie. Fred captured 2 state championships and made it to the final 8 times. He also won 14 regional championships and 13 county championships. Fred was the Maryland Coach of the Year in 1976 and inducted to the Maryland High School Football Hall of Fame in 1999. Over 200 of his players went on to play college football with 9 players reaching the NFL.


Henry Danver coached soccer at Churchill for 23 years. During that time he compiled a record of 246 wins, 69 losses, and 15 ties for the boy's soccer program. Henry won 5 state titles, 10 county championships, and 8 regional championships. Henry coached the girl's team to 173 wins, 61 losses, and 17 ties. He won 6 division championships and 3 county championships (for most of Henry's career girl's did not play in thestate championships).
