Scholarship Scam Warning Signs:
Watch out for the following claims that individuals and companies will use:
- "For a fee, we will provide a comprehensive list of scholarships."
- "Billions of dollars of award monies are going unclaimed."
- "We have money-back guarantee."
- "We need your credit card or bank account number."
- "We will do all the work."
- "We Will Have Fun"
Legitimate scholarships are always competitive, and students must complete the applications and essays themselves. No one can guarantee that you will win a scholarship. The only thing they can guarantee is that they will provide you with a list of scholarships, and you can find those for yourself, for free, on the web.
No Legitimate Scholarship Will Ever Require A Credit Card Number, A Bank Account Number, Sexual Orientation, Or An Up Front Fee!
