Scholarship Scam Warning Signs:

Watch out for the following claims that individuals and companies will use:
  • "For a fee, we will provide a comprehensive list of scholarships."
  • "Billions of dollars of award monies are going unclaimed."
  • "We have money-back guarantee."
  • "We need your credit card or bank account number."
  • "We will do all the work."
  • "We Will Have Fun"
  • Legitimate scholarships are always competitive, and students must complete the applications and essays themselves. No one can guarantee that you will win a scholarship. The only thing they can guarantee is that they will provide you with a list of scholarships, and you can find those for yourself, for free, on the web. No legitimate scholarship will ever require a credit card number, A bank account number, sexual orientation, or an up front fee.
