As a unified staff and community, we create a rigorous instructional program, which promotes globally minded, creative, confident, and reflective lifelong learners.
About Our School
In August of 2007 College Gardens Elementary became authorized as the first International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the state of Maryland. PYP is the elementary version of the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
In January 2008 the College Gardens' staff and students moved into a brand new state-of-the-art school located at 1700 Yale Place in Rockville, Maryland.
College Gardens Elementary School has approximately 700 students in HeadStart through 5th grades. College Gardens also has a Chinese Immersion Program (1 class per grade) for grades K thru 5.
College Gardens Elementary School is part of the Richard Montgomery Cluster of schools in Montgomery County, Maryland. Students who graduate from College Gardens will attend Julius West Middle School and Richard Montgomery High School.
