Chinese Immersion

Beginning 2005 - 2006, students in Montgomery County are welcome to join our Chinese Immersion Program at College Gardens Elementary School. In this partial immersion program, students invest approximately one half of the school day learning subjects such as science and math in Chinese. The reading/language arts and social studies curriculum is taught in English. The Chinese Immersion students are taught the same curricula and participate in the same extra-curricular activities as the rest of the school. Traditional Chinese characters and Pinyin system are used in this program.
